Canson Montval Cold Pressed- 300gsm, (55x75cm) 25 Sheets is designed specifically for watercolor, and wet techniques, and comes in several textures (cold-pressed, snowy grain, hot-pressed) as well as weights.
The 300gsm paper is fairly stiff, cold-pressed variant is one of the heavier, more substantial papers in the range.
It balances texture and smoothness, making it versatile for washes, layering, and detail work.
It is manufactured to be acid-free, contains no optical brighteners, is treated to resist mold, and is made to comply with permanence standards ISO 9706 in many of its formats.
Its features is erasability correctability the surface allows to lift or clean watercolor marks using a damp brush, sponge, or simply water, enabling reworking or corrections without leaving trace or damaging the sheet substantially.
This paper is well suited for standard watercolor techniques, glazing, layering, and moderate wet-on-wet work.
It is not a high-end 100% cotton rag paper, extremely heavy wet techniques or very long exposure to wetness may push its limit in terms of absorption, buckling, or surface integrity.
