Koh-I-Noor Magic Coloured pencils are extraordinary thanks to the composition of the lead. Every coloured pencil contains a combination of 3 shades. This allows you to create incredible and very natural effects in every stroke. This allows your illustrations to look more natural and lifelike with varying shades in the surfaces. Koh-I-Noor Hardtmuth was founded by Joseph Hardtmuth in 1790.
The unique composite lead automatically shades the lines drawn without needing to rotate the pencil. A small change in the angle of the pencil is enough to change the diversity of colours produced.
With a smooth transition from one to another shade possible due to the unique composition of the Koh-I-Noor Magic pencil’s lead the drawings which result have a 3D like quality to them.
In order to enhance the effect, you should use the blender which allows the colours to mix even more smoothly and allows for a very complex appearance to be created. This is particularly well suited for covering large areas such as drawing a scene of the sea or of a field of grass.
Koh-I-Noor Magic Coloured Pencils are available in sets of 6, 12 + 1 Blender and 23 + 1 Blender. The pencils are 10.4 mm thick, with a 5.6 mm lead and 175 mm long.
